About infertility and methods for solving this problem

The imposibility to conceive can affect a life, or a couple, an entire existence. For most of the men, the incapacity of having succesors is equal to the idea of beeing “less man”. This is wrong- the reasons of male infertility are varied and shows that the body has some medical problems.

Fortunately many of them can be solved:

- Varicocele are a couple of enlarged vains that take birth in the spermatic cord, and affects one testicles or both. Most of the cases, it develops in the left testicle, because the left spermatic vain drains into the renal vain and those two compress the superior mesenteric artery and the aorta. Varicocele creates an impared circulation of blood, and that goes to an isufficient cooling of the blood. That goes to a lowering of the temperatures in the testicles, and this is what affects the fertility. The incidence of varicocele is highest in men between the ages of 15 and 25. Most varicocele can be corrected through a surgical procedure called varicocelectomy. If the patient is asymptomatic or the symptomes are mild, it can be managged by wearing a snug-fitting to provide the scrotum with support.

- Infections starting with the sexually transmitted diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes, trichomoniasis) and continue with hematuria, epiditymitis, spermatoceles, all those affects the sperm quality and increse the chance of fertility. Most of them can be treatted only with antibiotics, but sometimes there is necessary complicated treatments and even surgeries.

- Chemotherapy- all chemotherapy drugs can affect reproductive system, by reducing the number of sperm that men produce or by affecting the sperm’s ability to fertilise egg. Some chemotherapy drugs may cause temporary problems with being able to have or maintain an erection. Usually, those problems disappear when the treatments is finished.

- Alcohol, Cigarettes, Drugs- the alcohol consumption can kill some sperm-producing cells, or can decrease the volume of seminal fluid, while cigarettes can lower sperm production and quality. The biggest problems are made by drugs consumption- it can significantly reduce libido and the sperm production. Is well known that steroids can cause sterility and LSD- chromosomal damage. All those problems stops when there is no more consumption.

- Diet- it is recommanded to prepare the body for starting conception, and this is starting by avoiding coffee, chemicals, additives, preservatives, animal protein- those can also affect sperm quality. A good alimentation should include vegetables, grain, nuts, seedes, natural food, natural drinks.

-Sexual relations- too many or too less sexual relations can affect sperm quality too, it is recommanded moderation.
